Tulane then beat Rice 25-10, before heading back out on the road to down North Texas 45-37 and Charlotte 34-3.
The Green Wave took their streak to eight games with a 52-6 blowout of Temple and a 35-0 shutout win at Navy, but they missed out on a perfect AAC regular season campaign as they lost 34-24 to Memphis last weekend.
Army Form
Army go into the AAC Championship Game having compiled a 10-1 regular season record.
Having opened with a non-conference win, the Black Knights made a red-hot start to their conference campaign as they won six straight.
They then beat Air Force 20-3 in a non-conference game, before returning to AAC duty with a 14-3 victory at North Texas.
Army’s perfect start was finally brought to an end in late November as they were blown out by Notre Dame, 49-14, but they rebounded quickly.
The Black Knights concluded their regular season campaign with another conference clash, and they ran out 29-24 winners against UTSA.
Verdict
Army enjoyed a successful regular season, but we are not buying into their chances here.
Tulane stacked up a bunch of wins and covered consistently as they made it to the conference championship, and we expect more of the same on Friday night.
