Inter Miami finally brought an end to a five-game winless run in the league with a commanding 4-0 win over DC United at the weekend.
New York City were handed another disappointing result in their last game as they were downed by Chicago Fire in a 2-1 loss.

Miami have won three of their last 10 against City, with the latter winning three times and four games ending as draws.
Inter Miami Form
Inter Miami had dropped points in the five matches leading up to their clash with DC United as a defeat to Columbus Crew was preceded by draws with Atlanta, Chicago, Nashville and San Diego.
To end this slump, Miami needed their big guns to fire, and that is exactly what they did as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both bagged a brace as they stormed to a 4-0 win over DC. Victory at the weekend was the first time Miami have won a league game since they hammered Montreal 7-1 back in late-August.
Messi continues to boss the MLS after netting a league-high 23 goals, and I predict that he will extend his impressive run of scoring in each of his last five matches for club and country as Miami pick up more valuable points.
New York City Form
New York City's poor run of form was extended by Chicago Fire in their last game as a 2-1 defeat made it just one win across their last 11 league matches.
In this time, City have lost five matches and drawn five times, with the eight points they have picked up from a possible 33 seeing City slip down to 10th in the standings, now three points behind Cincinnati in 10th.
On the road, City have been tough to beat consistently having lost five of their 14. However, with four wins and five draws coming alongside their five defeats, they have also found the opposition tough to beat when they travel.
City may need a win to end their poor slump, but I do not predict that it will come against Messi and Miami.
Verdict
I am backing Lionel Messi to continue to score goals as Inter Miami make it consecutive wins in the MLS.
