Magomed Ankalaev is tipped to win the UFC light-heavyweight title.

Ankalaev is a talented striker who lands more punches more consistently than Jan Blachowicz.

He also boasts a granite chin and stopping power, so he is backed to beat up and finish Blachowicz.

Jan Blachowicz Form

Jan Blachowicz has gone 6-1 in his last seven fights and is looking to regain the light-heavyweight title.

The 39-year-old Polish fighter enjoyed the best run of his UFC career between July 2019 and March 2021.

He bounced back from a knockout loss by stopping former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the second round.

Blachowicz then backed that up with a decision win against Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza followed by a first-round knockout of Corey Anderson.

That landed him a title shot and he took his big chance by stopping Dominick Reyes with strikes in the second round.

Blachowicz then successfully defended the crown with a decision win against then-middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

He managed only one successful defence though, losing the title via submission to Glover Teixeira in October of last year.

The Polish light-heavyweight rebounded quickly, claiming a TKO victory over Aleksandar Rakic back in May to improve his career record to 29-9.

Magomed Ankalaev Form

Magomed Ankalaev is a rising star in the UFC thanks to a nine-fight win streak.

Ankalaev’s UFC debut ended in disappointment as he tapped out in the very last second of his fight with Paul Craig – a bout he was set to win on the scorecards.

He rebounded quickly though with a first-round knockout of Marcin Prachnio, and then followed that up with a decision success against Klidson Abreu.

The wins kept coming as the Dagestani fighter then backed up a third-round stoppage of Dalcha Lungiambula with two first-round knockouts of Ion Cutelaba.

Ankalaev failed to finish his next three opponents, but that did not slow his rise.

He bested Nikita Krylov over three rounds and then claimed a decision win against Volkan Oezdemir.

The Russian fighter then recorded his first five-round decision win in the UFC as he got the better of Thiago Santos back in March.

Ankalaev then followed that up with a second-round finish of Anthony Smith in July to improve to 18-1.
