Jean Silva vs Jose Miguel Delgado Predictions & Picks

Jean Silva is tipped to win this main event fight via knockout.

Silva is a dynamic striker that has flashed knockout power throughout his career, and while Jose Miguel Delgado has never been stopped, he has been rocked on several occasions.

  • Jean Silva has won 6 of his 7 fights
  • 12 of Jean Silva’s 17 career wins have been via knockout
  • Jean Silva has gone the distance just 1 time in the UFC

Jean Silva Form

Jean Silva is the number six ranked featherweight contender with a professional record of 17-3 (12 KOs, 3 Subs).

Silva spent the first several years of his career fighting on the Brazilian scene, before taking a slot on Dana White’s Contender Series in late 2023.

He beat Kevin Vallejos on points in that fight, earning himself a contract with the UFC, and in his debut he knocked out Westin Wilson in the first round.

The 29-year-old Brazilian followed that up with two more stoppage wins in 2024, as he beat Charles Jourdain in two rounds and Drew Dober in three.

Silva kept that win streak going in the first half of 2025 as he followed up a first-round knockout of Melsik Baghdasaryan with a second-round submission of Bryce Mitchell, but he was unable to win his third outing of the year.

He suffered a second-round knockout loss to Diego Lopes that earned the pair ‘Fight of the Night’ honors.

‘Lord’ rebounded in January of this year though, as he out-pointed Arnold Allen over three rounds.

Jose Miguel Delgado Form

Jose Miguel Delgado is an unranked featherweight fighter with a career record of 12-2 (6 KOs, 4 Subs).

Delgado earned his contract with the UFC by knocking out Ernie Juarez in the second round of their fight on Dana White’s Contender Series.

He marked his UFC debut in February of last year with a first-round stoppage of Connor Matthews, and followed it up in June with a 26-second demolition of Hyder Amil.

The 28-year-old American failed to make it three-in-a-row as he was beaten on points by Nathaniel Wood in October, but he has rebounded from that setback with back-to-back wins.

Delgado edged Andre Fili by split decision in March of this year, before earning a unanimous decision victory over Austin Bashi in July.

Verdict

Our Verdict
Credit to Delgado for stepping in at short notice, but we do not expect him to join the list of late stand-ins that have shocked the world.

Silva’s striking advantage is likely to result in a knockout victory for the Brazilian.
