The night’s action in Riyadh is headlined by a fight between former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and top-five contender Nassourdine Imavov.
Two-time champion Adesanya goes into the bout looking to get back on track after suffering a third defeat in four fights last time out.
‘The Last Sfylebender’ dominated the 185lb division for several years and had an air of invincibility until long-time rival Alex Pereira sensationally knocked him out in the fifth round in November 2022.
Adesanya avenged that loss and regained the title by stopping Pereira in the second round of their rematch, but in his next fight he lost to Sean Strickland via decision, and that was followed by a submission defeat to Dricus Du Plessis last year.
He will now look to avoid a third straight defeat in his first fight of 2025, but standing in his way is a man who has climbed the ladder with three consecutive victories.
Imavov fought three times last year and enjoyed a perfect 2024 as he sandwiched a knockout win over Jared Cannonier with decision successes against Roman Dolidze and Brendan Allen.
That propelled him to number five in the middleweight rankings, but can he now stake his claim for a title shot with the biggest victory of his career so far?
