The main event features two fighters looking to strengthen their calls for a middleweight title fight – Jared Cannonier and Caio Borralho.
Cannonier fought for the title in July 2022 but came up short as he lost to Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision.
He rebounded quickly with decision wins over Sean Strickland and Marvin Vetorri, but comes into this bout having suffered a knockout loss to Nassourdine Imavov in June.
‘The Killa Gorilla’ remains a top-five contender despite that defeat, and he will now look to bounce back at the expense of Borralho.
But while Cannonier is looking to rebound, Borralho is bidding to continue his climb up the middleweight ladder.
The Brazilian made a couple of successful appearances on Dana White’s Contenders Series before signing with the UFC in April 2022.
Since signing he has won six straight to climb to #12 in the rankings, and a seventh consecutive victory could catapult into the top five.
But will Borralho’s surge up the rankings continues, or will Cannonier halt the Brazilian’s rise and boost his own title quest?
