Dallas have beaten the LA Clippers, Oklahoma City and Minnesota to book their place in the NBA Finals.
The Mavericks, who went 50-32 during the regular season, made a losing start to the playoffs as they were beaten 109-97 by the Clippers in Los Angeles.
However, they responded well to that early setback and booked their place in the second round by winning four of the next five meetings with LA.
Dallas took on Oklahoma City for a place in the Western Conference Finals, and they once again dropped the series opener before winning four of the next five games to advance.
The Mavericks’ unhealthy knack for falling behind early in a series finally ended in the conference finals as they won 108-105 in Minnesota.
They backed that up with a 109-108 victory in Game 2, before returning home to down the Timberwolves 116-107.
Dallas missed out on the series sweep, losing the fourth game 105-100, but they hit back immediately with a series-clinching 124-103 success at the Target Center.

Boston surged into the NBA Finals by dropping just two games as they eliminated Miami, Cleveland and Indiana.
The Celtics, who topped the Eastern Conference standings with a 64-18 record, got off to a winning start in the postseason as they beat Miami 114-94.
They dropped the second meeting 111-101, but came storming back with three consecutive wins, beating the Heat 104-84, 102-88 and 118-84 to progress to round two.
Boston split the first two games of their next series too, beating Cleveland 120-95 before losing the second game 118-94.
Just like in the previous round, the Celtics responded to a loss with a run of three straight wins, beating the Cavaliers 106-93 and 109-102 on the road, and 113-98 at home.
They then took their win streak to five games as they successfully defended home court in the first two games of the conference finals, beating Indiana 133-128 in overtime and 126-110 in regulation.
Boston then went out on the road to secure a series sweep of the Pacers, booking their place in the NBA Finals with 114-111 and 105-102 wins.
