Golden State going into Game 4 looking to bounce back and split their first two road games of the 2022 NBA Finals.
The Warriors’ run to the Finals was a smooth one as they downed Denver (4-1), Memphis (4-2) and Dallas (4-1).
They find themselves behind for the second time in this series with Boston though, having dropped two of the first three games.
Golden State were beaten 120-108 at home in Game 1, but bounced back to take Game 2, 107-88.
They failed to build on that in the first road game of the series though, falling to a 116-100 defeat on Wednesday night.
Stephen Curry finished with 31 points, four rebounds and two assists, but more importantly he suffered a lower leg injury and the Warriors will be hoping that it is nothing serious.
Of the rest of the starting five, Klay Thompson had 25 points, while Andrew Wiggins contributed 18 to go along with seven rebounds.
Draymond Green registered just two points, four rebounds and three assists before fouling out.
Boston will look to take command of the NBA Finals series by making it back-to-back wins at home.
The Celtics have had a marathon run to the Finals, following up a sweep of Brooklyn with seven-game series against both Miami and Milwaukee.
They drew first blood in the NBA Finals with a big 120-108 road win over Golden State in Game 1.
And although they failed to follow that up, losing 107-88 in Game 2, they were delighted to at least split their first two road games.
That gave them a slight advantage hearing into Game 3 at home, and Boston restored their series lead with a 116-100 victory.
Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart all played their part in a big home with for the Celtics.
Brown led the way with 27 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Tatum put up 26 points, nine assists and six rebounds.
Smart combined 24 points with seven rebounds and five assists, while Al Horford chipped in with 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
