Los Angeles Lakers Form

The Lakers won nine of their final 11 regular season games to give themselves a second shot at the playoffs through the Play-In tournament.
In their final two games of the season they downed Phoenix 121-107 and Utah 128-117 to wrap up seventh place.
That set up a meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Play-In and the Lakers had to fight back to advance.
Los Angeles eventually won that matchup 108-102 in overtime to set up this NBA Playoffs series with Memphis.
Memphis Grizzlies Form
Memphis compiled a 51-31 regular season record that earned them second place in the Western Conference.
The Grizzlies led the pursuit of Denver through the final few weeks of the season but some inconsistent form ended their hopes of gaining the #1 seed.
They lost four of their final seven games, including a stunning collapse that condemned them to a 128-107 defeat in Chicago.
Memphis did win their final home game of the regular season, beating Portland 119-109.
The Grizzlies then wrapped up the regular season by sandwiching a 137-114 win in Milwaukee with a 138-131 overtime defeat in New Orleans and a 115-100 loss at Oklahoma City.
