They then edged Orlando 105-104, only to wrap up the road trip with a 129-123 defeat when they visited Cleveland.
Memphis enjoyed a winning homecoming as they beat Phoenix in overtime, 151-148, but they again failed to follow up a win as they lost four straight at the FedEx Forum.
The Grizzlies lost 114-113 to New York, 130-128 to San Antonio, 132-130 to Atlanta and 120-103 to Oklahoma City.
