Kansas State go into their biggest game of the season so far on the back of their first defeat.

The Wildcats opened the season with a 34-0 shutout of South Dakota, and followed that up with a 40-12 success against Missouri.

They failed to make it three-in-a-row last weekend though, losing 17-10 at home to Tulane.

Kansas State led 10-0 at halftime, but failed to put a single point after the break as the Green Wave came storming back.

Wildcats QB Adrian Martinez finished 21/31 for 150 yards and a touchdown as they leaned on the run game.

Martinez also rushed for 59 yard off 13 carries, while Deuce Vaughn led the way on the ground with 81 yards off 20 touches.

Through three games, Martinez has gone 41/66 for 304 yards and a TD, while rushing for 150 yards and a couple of scores.

Vaughan is the team’s leading rusher with 352 yards and three TDs, with DJ Giddens contributing 132 yards and two TDs off 17 touches.

Malik Knowles leads the team in receiving with 92 yards, while Kade Warner has Kansas State’s only receiving score.

On the opposite side of the football, the Wildcats have been racking up takeaways with Daniel Green, Kobe Savage and Cincere Mason each recording two picks.

Oklahoma head into their first conference game of the season boasting a perfect 3-0 record.

The Sooners downed UTEP 45-13 in their home opener, before easing to a 33-3 win against Kent State.

They then made it three-in-a-row last weekend as they won their first road game of the season, beating Nebraska 49-14.

Dillon Gabriel finished the game 16/27 for 230 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 55 yards and a TD.

Eric Gray turned 11 carries into 113 yards and two TDs on the ground, while Marvin Mims led the receivers with 66 yards off four catches.

With three games now in the books, Oklahoma QB Gabriel is 52/78 for 759 yards and seven TDs, while also rushing for 65 yards and two TDs.

Gray is the team’s leading rusher with 286 yards and two TDs off 37 carries, while Marcus Major has 127 yards and four touchdowns off 24 carries.

Mims is the Sooners’ clear leader in the receiving game, turning his 14 receptions into 310 yards and two TDs.

Oklahoma’s defense has also played its part in their early success holding teams to 10.0 points per game.

Reggie Grimes has four sacks already this season, while the Sooners have averaged 2.0 takeaways per game so far.
