The Thundering Herd did enough to earn a trip to a Bowl game, but they were beaten 35-17 by UTSA in the Frisco Bowl.

Ohio State will look to notch one more win before they embark on their quest for a trip to the Big Ten Championship Game and the College Football Playoffs.
The Buckeyes missed out on both of those last season thanks to a costly defeat to bitter rivals Michigan.
They won 11 straight games, including victories over top-10 teams Notre Dame and Penn State, only to suffer a crushing 30-24 defeat to the Wolverines in the regular season finale.
Ohio State had to settle for a Cotton Bowl appearances as a result of that loss, and they were beaten 14-3 by Missouri in that matchup.
The Buckeyes are looking to put that disappointment firmly behind them this time around, and they made a dominant start with a 52-6 demolition of Akron and a 56-0 shutout of Michigan State.
