Miami bounced back to win 20-14 at Virginia Tech, only to suffer another embarrassing home loss as they were blown out 45-21 by Duke.
The Hurricanes replied with a hard-fought 14-12 win at Virginia, but once again failed to string together wins as the endured another embarrassing loss – this time a 45-3 home loss to Florida State.
They were able to avoid back-to-back losses though, running out 35-14 winners at Georgia Tech last weekend.
Clemson Form
Clemson go into this matchup with a 9-1 record after bouncing back from their first defeat of the season.
The Tigers reeled off eight straight victories to start the season, beating three ranked teams during that run.
They won a thriller at #21 Wake Forest, 54-45, in late September, and then backed that up with a 30-20 home win against #10 North Carolina State.
Clemson then downed #14 Syracuse, 27-21, in late October.
The Tigers’ run came to an end after that victory though, as they suffered a 35-14 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame.
That loss did not spark a collapse though, as Clemson got back on track in emphatic fashion a week ago.
