Miami FL at Wake Forest Predictions & Picks

Miami are tipped to cover a three-touchdown spread as they maintain their 100% record.

Wake Forest’s defense will be asked to pick its poison in this one – the Hurricanes offense is efficient, explosive and loaded, and they can pile up the points to win this one comfortably.

  • Miami FL are 2-0-0 ATS in their previous 2 games
  • Miami FL are averaging 61 points per game through 2 weeks
  • The Over has cashed in each of Miami FL’s first 2 games

Head To Head

  • Miami FL lead the all-time series 9-3
  • Miami FL won 42-14 when the two teams last met in November 2024

Miami FL Form

Miami head back out on the road having opened the season with back-to-back blowout wins.

The Hurricanes – beaten in last season’s National Championship – kicked off the campaign with a 45-6 win at conference rivals Stanford.

They then followed that up in their home opener last week, as they beat a severely overmatched Florida A&M team, 77-7.

Miami quarterback Darian Mensah has been almost perfect through his first two appearances, going 41/45 for 653 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions.

Hurricanes wide receiver Malachi Toney has been the biggest benefactor with 330 yards and four touchdowns off 16 grabs, while Mark Fletcher Jr has rushed for 145 yards and a couple of scores.

Wake Forest Form

Wake Forest kick off their ACC schedule having won back-to-back games against non-conference opponents.

The Demon Deacons kicked off the campaign at home and ran out comfortable winners against Akron, 38-16.

They followed that up with a dramatic victory at Purdue last weekend, as they blew a fourth quarter lead but rallied to beat the Boilermakers 38-36 in double overtime.

Wake Forest quarterback Gio Lopez is 37/59 for 575 yards and four touchdowns through two games, with Carlos Hernandez accounting for 253 yards and a score.

Demon Deacons running back Ty Clark has been leading the way on the ground with 141 yards and a TD, while Deuce Lawrence and QB Lopez have both put up 97 yards rushing.

Verdict

Our Verdict
Miami have made a blistering start to the season, albeit against lesser opposition, and they have shown their ruthless side.

Mario Cristobal has his team focused and dialled in, so we are confident about their chances of covering the spread as they take this.
