Oregon go into this Bowl game on the back of a couple of heavy defeats and the loss of their head coach.
The Ducks put themselves in contention for the playoffs as they won nine of their first 10 games and upset Ohio State on the road, 35-28.
Their chances of making it to College Football’s final four were ended by a couple of losses to Utah however.
Oregon were blown out 38-7 on the road in late November and were then beaten 38-10 by the Utes in the Pac-12 Championship Game in Las Vegas.
Following that loss it was announced that Mario Cristobal would be leaving to become head coach at Miami (FL), leaving passing game co-ordinator and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon to take the reins on an interim basis.
QB Anthony Brown went 224/351 for 2,692 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. A dual threat with his legs, he also racked up 637 rushing yards and nine scores.
Devon Williams was the team’s leading receiver but he had just 557 yards and four TDs off 35 catches.
The biggest offensive weapon was RB Travis Dye, who rushed for 1,118 yards and 15 TDs off 193 carries. He also caught the ball 41 times for 374 receiving yards and two more scores.

Oklahoma spent almost all season sitting in the top four or hanging around just outside of it.
The Sooners reeled of nine straight victories once the season got underway but saw that streak come a halt at Baylor.
They lost 27-14 to the #18 ranked Bears and although they bounced back a week later against Iowa State, there was more disappointment in the Big 12 Championship.
Oklahoma fell to a 37-33 defeat the hands of Oklahoma State and following that game head coach Lincoln Riley left for USC.

QB Caleb Williams went 116.185 for 1,674 yards, 18 touchdowns and four picks after replacing Spencer Rattler as starter. He also rushed for 408 yards and six scores.
Marvin Mims leads the team in receiving with 648 yards and four TDs, while Jadon Haselwood notched six receiving scores on 39 catches.
Kennedy Brooks was the big threat of the backfield, amassing 1,160 yards from scrimmage and 10 TDs.
