USC’s return home saw them squeeze past Arizona, 43-41, but their season has come of the rails in recent weeks with defeats to two ranked teams.
The Trojans were beaten 48-20 at #21 Notre Dame, and then suffered a 34-32 home defeat at the hands of #14 Utah.

The Golden Bears opened up with a 58-21 win at North Texas, but struggled for consistency as they then lost their home opener 14-10 to Auburn.
They then beat Idaho 31-17 at home, but a meeting with #8 Washington immediately returned them to losing ways as they were beaten 59-32 on the road.
California bounced back to beat Arizona State 24-21 at home, but since then they have not won a game.
The Golden Bears were beaten 52-40 at home by #15 Oregon State, before heading out on the road to lose 34-14 at #16 Utah.
