They bounced back a week later to beat #23 Florida State 31-21, and backed that up with a 45-10 blowout of Army and a 43-15 victory against Boston College.
Wake Forest’s form dipped from there though, as they started a three-game skid with a 48-21 loss at Louisville.
They were then beaten 30-21 at #21 NC State and 36-34 at home to North Carolina, before finally snapping their slide with a 45-35 home win against Syracuse.
The Demon Deacons failed to back it up though, losing 34-31 at Duke in their regular season finale.
Missouri Form
Missouri won four of their final six games to sneak into a bowl game courtesy of a 6-6 record.
The Tigers opened with a 52-24 win at home to Louisiana Tech, but then went on to lose four of their next five games.
They did run a couple of big schools close in those losses though, falling to a 26-22 defeat to #1 Georgia before losing 24-17 at Florida.
Missouri needed wins though, and they rescued themselves in the second half of the season.
A 17-14 win against Vanderbilt was followed by a 23-10 upset of #25 South Carolina, and although they lost their next two games they were able to end on a positive note.
The Tigers responded to a 66-24 hammering at the hands of #5 Tennessee with a 45-14 win against New Mexico State and a 29-27 victory over Arkansas.
