Jacksonville Jaguars at Philadelphia Eagles Preview & Picks – Jacksonville To Cover As Underdog

Jacksonville Jaguars at Philadelphia Eagles Preview & Picks

Jacksonville are backed to cover in a losing effort in Philadelphia.

Both teams are in good form heading into this Week 4 matchup, with both quarterbacks excelling.

The Eagles boast a 100% record and are favored, but the Jags are an appealing pick with the points.

They just blew out the LA Chargers on the road, and that offensive is tipped to run Philly close here.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-0-0 ATS in their last 2 games
  • Jacksonville are the only team ranked top-5 in both offense & defense
  • Philadelphia are averaging just 0.7 points per game more than Jacksonville
  • The two teams are averaging a combined 56.7 points per game
  • The Over has cashed in both of Jacksonville’s road games so far
  • The Over has hit in 5 of Philadelphia’s last 6 home games

Head To Head

  • The all-time series is tied 3-3
  • Philadelphia Eagles won 24-18 when the teams last met in 2018

Jacksonville Jaguars Form

Jacksonville have rebounded from losing their season-opener to win their last two games impressively.

The Jaguars opened with a 28-22 defeat at Washington, but hit back immediately with a 24-0 shutout of Indianapolis.

They then followed that up with a shock 38-10 demolition of the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.

QB Trevor Lawrence is 77/111 for 772 yards, six touchdowns and one interception through three games.

Christian Kirk is the team’s leading receiver with 267 yards and three touchdowns, while Zay Jones has 173 yards and a score.

James Robinson has rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns out of the backfield, and he also has 33 yards receiving and a further TD.

Travis Etienne has 193 yards from scrimmage but is yet to find the endzone.

Over on defense, the Jaguars lead the league in takeaways, averaging 2.7 per game.

Jacksonville are allowing just 12.7 points per game to rank in the top five, and 306.7 yards per game to rank #7 in the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles Form

Philadelphia head into Week 4 as one of just two teams left with a 100% record.

The Eagles fended off a late Lions rally to win 38-35 in Detroit in Week 1, but their last two wins have been much more convincing.

They beat Minnesota 24-7 in their home opener before winning 24-8 at Washington last weekend.

QB Jalen Hurts has gone 66/98 for 916 yards, four touchdowns and a pick so far, while also rushing for 167 yards and three TDs.

AJ Brown has been his favorite target, turning 31 targets into 20 catches, 309 yards and a score.

DeVonta Smith has 249 yards and a touchdown off 23 receptions, while Dallas Goedert has caught 11 of his 14 targets for 168 yards and a TD.

In the backfield, Miles Sanders is the Eagles’ leading rusher with 222 yards and a TD through three games.

On the opposite side of the football, the Philadelphia defense are top 10 in points and yards allowed per game, as well as turnovers per game.

The Eagles have given up 16.7 points and 296.7 yards per game so far, while averaging 1.7 takeaways per matchup.
