San Francisco are seeking back-to-back wins after bouncing back from a shock season-opening loss.
The 49ers blew a 10-point lead to suffer a 19-10 defeat in Chicago in Week 1, but were able to get their first win board a week later.
They won 27-7 at home to Seattle despite losing starting QB Trey Lance to a season-ending injury in the first quarter.
His replacement, Jimmy Garoppolo, went 13/21 for 154 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
The 49ers leaned on the run game and tough defense, with Jeff Wilson rushing for 84 yards and Deebo Samuel going for 53 yards on the ground.
Wilson has now carried the ball 27 times for a team-leading 106 rushing yards, while Samuel has rushed for 105 yards and a score to go along with his 58 receiving yards.
Brandon Aiyuk is San Francisco’s leading receiver through two games, catching seven of his targets for 103 yards.
On the opposite side of the football, this defense has been dominant despite the 1-1 record.
They rank #3 in the league in points allowed per game (13.0) and #1 in the NFL in yards allowed per game.
The 49ers are also averaging 2.0 takeaways per game through the first two games of the season.
Denver have gone 1-1 through their first two games, as the offense continues to falter.
The Broncos opened the season with a 17-16 defeat at Seattle, but got off the mark last Sunday.
It was not pretty though, as they put up just 16 points once again in a 16-9 success at home to Houston.
Russell Wilson finished just 14/31 for 219 yards, one touchdown and one interception in another poor showing.
Courtland Sutton was on the receiving end of seven of those catches as he led the team with 122 yards receiving.
RBs Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon combined for 122 rushing yards but neither man found the endzone.
Denver desperately need improvement on offense, with big offseason signing Wilson now just 43/73 for 559 yards, two TDs and one pick through two games.
Sutton is the team’s leading receiver with 194 yards, while Jerry Jeudy has 113 yards and a score.
Out of the backfield, the combination of Williams and Gordon have combined for 318 yards from scrimmage.
The defense has been key for Denver so far, allowing just 13.0 points and 243.5 yards per game to rank #3 in both areas.
