Best NHL Props Oct 7: Player Props for the NHL Tonight

Kyle Connor to register 4+ shots, Leon Draisaitl to fire 4+ shots and Connor McDavid to record 2+ points are our three best NHL player props for Wednesday night.

It's only three games into the season, but a few players are already putting up huge numbers. All three of our picks come from players who are shooting a lot or scoring a lot, and who have a good matchup tonight.

Kyle Connor Shots on Goal Prop vs Colorado Avalanche

Connor has been the busiest shooter in the league to start the season, with 9, 5 and 6 shots on goal in Winnipeg's first three games.

That's 20 shots in three games, and he's reached four or more every time. He's playing 21:00 a night and has 3 goals and 2 assists to show for it.

Colorado are giving up 28.5 shots per game, and Winnipeg are averaging 31.7 shots of their own. Connor is back at home and takes a big share of the Jets' shots, so we expect him to keep shooting.

Pick: Kyle Connor 4+ shots on goal

Leon Draisaitl Shots on Goal Prop vs Anaheim Ducks

Draisaitl has shot more than usual to start the year, with 5, 5 and 6 shots on goal in Edmonton's opening three games.

He has 3 goals and 5 points in that stretch, and he's getting 4:50 of power-play time a night on the top unit.

Anaheim are allowing 30.5 shots per game, and Edmonton are averaging 31.3. Draisaitl is getting plenty of looks and the matchup suits him, so we're backing him for four or more again.

Pick: Leon Draisaitl 4+ shots on goal

Connor McDavid Points Prop vs Anaheim Ducks

McDavid has opened the season with 9 points in three games, recording multiple points in every one.

Edmonton are scoring 5.67 goals per game, and McDavid is playing 23:44 a night. He also has points in 27 of his last 29 regular-season games against the Ducks.

Devon Levi starts in goal for Edmonton, and this game should be wide open. We're backing McDavid to post another multi-point night.

Pick: Connor McDavid 2+ points

Verdict

Kyle Connor 4+ shots on goal, Leon Draisaitl 4+ shots on goal and Connor McDavid 2+ points are our three best NHL player props for Wednesday night.
