Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) continue their storied rivalry when they fight for the third time on Saturday September 17, with the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine super-middleweight titles up for grabs.

Alvarez and Golovkin first fought in September 2017 and went to a split decision draw, and when the pair met again a year later it was ‘Canelo’ who won the fight via majority decision.
Since then Alvarez has fought eight more times and collected world titles at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight. He does go into this fight on the back of a loss though, having dropped a unanimous decision when he challenged for the WBA (Super) light-heavyweight title in May 2022.
Golovkin, meanwhile, has fought just four times since suffering the first defeat of his professional career. ‘GGG’ has won all four fights though, and during this win streak he has claimed the IBF, IBO and WBA (Super) middleweight titles.
So can Golovkin now make it five wins in a row by beating his biggest rival, or will Alvarez once again have his hand raised after sharing a boxing ring with ‘GGG’?
