Anthony Hernandez vs Gregory Rodrigues Predictions & Picks

Anthony Hernandez is tipped to win this main event fight via stoppage.

Hernandez will have to be wary of Gregory Rodrigues' power early on, but his outstanding cardio and relentless pressure can help him wear down his opponent and force a stoppage.

  • Anthony Hernandez has won 8 of his last 9 fights
  • 12 of Anthony Hernandez’s 15 wins have come via stoppage
  • 4 of Gregory Rodrigues’ 6 defeats have been by stoppage

Anthony Hernandez Form

Anthony Hernandez is the number six ranked middleweight contender with a professional record of 14-3 (3 KOs, 9 Subs) with 1 No Contest.

Hernandez made his UFC debut in February 2019, and struggled to make an early impact as he lost two of his first three fights.

A second-round submission win over Rodolfo Vieira steadied the ship though, and it proved to be the spark for a career-best run that saw him win eight straight fights.

The 32-year-old Californian followed that up with a couple of victories in 2022 as he out-pointed Josh Fremd before submitting Marc-Andre Barnault in the third round.

Hernandez’s sole outing in 2023 saw him knock out Edmen Shahbazyan in the third, and in 2024 he kept his streak going as he tapped out Roman Kopylov in the second and knocked out Michel Pereira in the fifth.

The rise of ‘Fluffy; continued in 2025 as he beat Brendan Allen by decision before submitting Roman Dolidze in the fourth, but his rise into contention was halted back in February this year.

In the biggest fight of his career to date, Hernandez was knocked out in the third round by former middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Gregory Rodrigues Form

Gregory Rodrigues is the number 11 ranked middleweight contender with a career record of 19-6 (12 KOs, 3 Subs).

Rodrigues entered the UFC in June 2021, after a successful stint on the minor scene that saw him claim the SMASH Global and LFA middleweight titles.

He got off to a good start as he beat Dusko Todorovic by unanimous decision and then knocked out Park Jun-Yong, only to see his winning run end with a split decision loss to Armen Petrosyan.

The 34-year-old Brazilian rebounded by knocking out Julian Marquez in the first and Chid Njokuani in the second, and then responded to a first-round knockout loss to Brunno Ferreira by stopping both Denis Tiuliulin and Brad Tavares with strikes.

Rodrigues then made it three-in-a-row with a decision success against Christian Leroy Duncan, but saw his surge come to a halt when he was knocked out by Jared Cannonier in the fourth round in February of last year.

‘Robocop’ has not lost since though, answering that defeat with three consecutive victories.

He has sandwiched a unanimous decision win over Roman Kopylov with first-round knockouts of both Jack Hermansson and Brunno Ferreira.
