The headline fight sees top five contender Umar Nurmagomedov take on home favourite, and ranked contender, Song Yadong, in an important bout in the bantamweight division.
Nurmagomedov’s quest to become bantamweight champion suffered a setback in January of last year, as he lost a title fight with Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision, but he has rebounded from that loss.
He closed out 2025 with a unanimous decision win over Mario Bautista, and then backed that up in January of this year when he earned a points victory over Deiveson Figueiredo to retain his place in the top five.
The 30-year-old Russian will now look to make it three consecutive victories, but standing in his way is another top contender in the division.
Song has dropped a handful of fights in recent years, but they have all been against top contenders, and he does enter this bout having scored notable wins over Henry Cejudo and Deiveson Figueiredo in the past couple of years.
Can the 28-year-old Chinese fighter now knock off Nurmagomedov to delight his home crowd, or will the visiting Russian strengthen his calls for another crack at the bantamweight crown?
