Boston Celtics Form

Boston head to Milwaukee looking for a win that would force Game 7 in this Eastern Conference semi-final.

The Celtics swept Brooklyn in the first round, but find themselves on the brink of bowing out to the Bucks.

They lost their home opener in this series, 101-89, only to bounce back and level the series with a 109-86 win in Game 2.

Boston fell behind again with a 103-101 in their first road game of the series, but again responded with a 116-108 victory in Game 4.

The Celtics find themselves in serious trouble now though, after a 110-107 home defeat in Game 5.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown had solid performances for Boston despite that loss.

Tatum had 34 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Brown contributed 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Marcus Smart was the only other starter in double digits though, with 15 points, while Daniel Theis had 11 points off the bench.

Milwaukee Bucks Form

Milwaukee are back on top in the series and have an opportunity to clinch at home tonight.

The Bucks made straightforward work of Chicago in the first round, but have found Boston much more stubborn.

The defending champions won the series opener, 101-89, in Boston before dropping Game 2 on the road, 109-86.

They restored their lead in their home opener with a 103-101 victory, only to then surrender their advantage with a 116-108 defeat in Game 4.

Milwaukee responded well though, winning 110-107 in Game 5 on the road to give themselves the chance to wrap up this Eastern Conference semi-final at home.

Giannis Antetokounmpo put in a huge performance in the victory with 40 points and 11 rebounds.

Jrue Holiday had 25 points eight rebounds and eight assists, while Bobby Portis Pat Connaughton played key roles off the bench.

Portis contributed 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Connaughton chipped in with 13 points.

Verdict

This series has been tough to call so far, but Game 5 may have been pivotal.

Milwaukee scored a huge road win and are backed to follow that up with a series-clincher at home.

Spread – Milwaukee -1.5 @ -110
