Real Salt Lake are yet to win in the new MLS season, with the side held in a 1-1 draw by St Louis City in their last outing. 

LAFC began the season with a win as they fought to all three points in a 2-1 triumph over the Seattle Sounders. 

LAFC have secured 13 win in their last 17 meetings with Real Salt Lake, with the latter winning four times. 

Real Salt Lake have struggled to establish themselves this season, with a single point coming from their first two matches of the new year. 

A 2-0 loss to Inter Miami in their opening game was a tough result before they took a point from St Louis. With a single goal scored across 180 minutes of football, Real Salt Lake need to find a way to more consistently trouble their opponents and hit the back of the net. 

Playing at home for the first time this year will give the side a boost, but they have struggled against LAFC in recent years, meaning this game will likely end in a second defeat in three matches this term. 

LAFC were cruising at 2-0 in their clash with the Sounders before they conceded from the spot in the 73rd minute to give them a real problem heading into the latter-stages of the game.

While they were able to hold on for all three points, LAFC should have made more of their chances and killed the game off long before the Sounders secured their goal from the spot.

A second win in a row would constitute a good start to the season, but keeping a clean sheet may be an issue for the side as they take on an outfit that will be desperate to build on scoring their first goal of the season in their last outing.
