Kamil Majchrzak has struggled for wins in recent weeks, currently sitting on a three-match losing streak and having won just one match so far during this US Open Series.

That opens the door for Benjamin Bonzi, who has been actively competing on North American hard courts in recent weeks and should be capable of taking advantage of the Pole's drop in level.

Bonzi Looks To Turn Around His 2026 Record

  • Majchrzak has a 1–1 record in first-round matches at Winston-Salem.
  • He has an 11–9 record against players outside the Top 50 in 2026.
  • Bonzi has a 2–0 record in first-round matches at Winston-Salem.
  • He has a 2–14 record against Top 100 players this year.

Kamil Majchrzak Seeks a Fresh Start

Kamil Majchrzak suffered back-to-back opening-round exits in Montreal and Cincinnati, losing to Gael Monfils and Christopher O'Connell respectively. He will now be looking to bounce back with a strong start this week.

The 30-year-old has struggled for form and also dealt with fitness issues this year. He has played 17 events and cleared the opening-round hurdle in nine of them, while registering multiple wins only four times, notably winning the title in 's-Hertogenbosch.

This is his third appearance in Winston-Salem. He lost in the opening round in 2022 before reaching the third round in 2025.
