Inter Miami vs New England Preview & Picks

Inter Miami notched a 1-0 win over Toronto in their last match as they went into the international break on the back of two successive wins.

New England made it three defeats on the bounce as they slipped to a heavy 4-0 loss at the hands of Columbus Crew.

  • Miami have won their last two matches in the MLS
  • Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in his last appearance for Argentina
  • New England have lost 12 of their 16 away games

Head-To-Head

The pair have met eight times in total, with Miami winning four meetings, New England notching three wins and one match ending as a draw.

Inter Miami Form

Inter Miami have set the standard in the Eastern Conference this season, winning 21 of their 33 and losing just four times.

Heading towards the crunch, Miami boast a 10-game unbeaten run including seven wins. Their eight-point lead at the summit is impressive considering the quality of opposition they have had to face, although the exploits of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi up-front has given Miami a major boost.

With Messi returning from international duty on the back of a stunning hat-trick, we are backing him to notch another goal as he adds to his 17 strikes this term.

New England Form

New England have not been good enough this season, with the side a single point and place above Chicago Fire at the bottom of the table.

Nine wins in 33 matches have come alongside four draws and 20 defeats, while they have conceded 68 goals, the most of any side in the Eastern Conference.

Arriving having conceded four goals against Columbus Crew in their last match, New England know they are up against it if they are to get anywhere near Miami this week, and we back them to struggle.
