Orlando City vs New York Red Bulls Preview & Picks

Orlando City arrive for their Conference Final on the back of a nervy 1-0 win over Atlanta United in their last match.

The New York Red Bulls took the bragging rights from their clash with New York City as they eliminated their rivals and moved another step closer to a piece of silverware.

  • City have won two of their last three home games against their opponents, drawing the other match
  • The Red Bulls have lost three of their last seven matches
  • The pair have seen less than 2.5 goals scored in both of their meetings this season

Head-To-Head

City have won four of the last 10 against their opponents, with New York winning four times and two games ending as draws.

Orlando City Form

Orlando City may have finished in fourth, 20 points short of Inter Miami at the summit of the Eastern Conference, yet they find themselves a single win from the showpiece MLS Cup match.

A battling 1-0 win over Atlanta United made it two consecutive wins and three victories in their last four. While United are not blowing sides away with their goal scoring having failed to score more than two goals in any of their last five, they are finding a way to win.

City have been good against their opponents when they have been the home side, going unbeaten in their last three and winning twice. With this in mind, we are backing a nervy, low-scoring win for United.

New York Red Bulls Form

New York Red Bulls took full advantage of their chance to eliminate rivals New York City as they secured a 2-0 win to silence the home fans.

This was a third consecutive win for the Red Bulls following two triumphs against Columbus Crew. Their 2-1 series win over a Columbus side that ended the season in second filled them with confidence, and this showed by the way they beat City in their last match.

While we predict that this one will be a tight match, we are backing this game to be the end of the line for New York as they are eliminated by City.
