Zverev Faces Another Test After a Demanding Start
Alexander Zverev survived a tough five-set battle against Lorenzo Sonego in the opening round of the US Open, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4. Halys Finally Breaks His US Open First-Round Barrier
Quentin Halys moved into the second round after defeating Facundo Diaz Acosta in four sets, 6-4, 7-5, 6-7, 6-1. He fired 18 aces and won an impressive 82 percent of points behind his first serve.
This was his first main-draw victory at the US Open, having previously made five main-draw appearances at the tournament, all of which ended in the first round.
