Lorenzo Sonego has not been very reliable this year and has endured a difficult season due to injury, but this looks like a good opportunity for him to find some redemption. He is a former champion here, has plenty of experience at this venue and has already won two matches this week.
In fact, this is only the second time this season that he has managed to win back-to-back matches, which should give him some much-needed confidence.

Lorenzo Sonego Looks to Extend His Resurgence
Lorenzo Sonego moved into the third round after defeating Adrian Mannarino in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6. He served nine aces and lost his serve once during the match.
This is his first back-to-back wins on hard courts since Metz in November last year. Before this week, he had registered multiple main-draw wins only once this year, at Wimbledon, where he reached the third round.
The Italian has dealt with fitness issues earlier this year, which affected his progress and pushed him close to dropping outside the Top 100 in the recent rankings. He will now look to build on this positive run.
