Basilashvili Looks To Extend His Perfect Week
Nikoloz Basilashvili defeated Jenson Brooksby in straight sets to book his place in the semifinals in Chengdu, winning 6-4, 7-6. Despite losing his serve once, he was comfortable throughout the match and never trailed at any stage.
This is his best result in Chengdu. Last year, he lost in the quarterfinals against Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets. It is also his first semifinal appearance since 2022.
