Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will finally share a ring on Friday, December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. After almost a decade of talks that fell apart in 2019, 2021 and 2022, the fight was confirmed on September 24 and will stream live on Netflix around the world.

Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) is 38. Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) turns 37 in October. Neither man is the fighter he was when they held all four heavyweight belts between them, but this is still the biggest all-British fight there is.

When Is Fury vs Joshua?

Fury vs Joshua takes place on Friday, December 11, 2026. Unusually for a big fight, it's on a Friday rather than a Saturday.

What Time Does Fury vs Joshua Start?

The start time hasn't been confirmed. The main event is was first proposed to cater for a prime-time US audience, which means the early hours of Saturday morning in the UK. But Fury's team has been pushing for an earlier start time.

The final timings will be confirmed closer to the fight date.

Where Is Fury vs Joshua?

The fight is at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the home of Welsh rugby. Its retractable roof means the weather won't matter on a December night. New York and London were both discussed before Cardiff was chosen.

How to Watch Fury vs Joshua

Fury vs Joshua is exclusive to Netflix worldwide, including the US, Canada and the UK. It's included in a standard Netflix membership, so there's no pay-per-view fee.

  1. Sign in to Netflix, or create an account if you don't have one.
  2. Search for "Fury vs Joshua", or find the live event on the Netflix home screen on fight night.
  3. Tune in when the broadcast starts. The undercard streams before the main event.

Is There a Title on the Line?

The fight was announced as a 12-round non-title bout. Within hours, the WBA said it would put its vacant "super" heavyweight title on the line. That's disputed: the WBA upgraded Murat Gassiev to "super" champion in July when Oleksandr Usyk gave up his belts, and Gassiev says he doesn't know whether he's still champion. Joshua has said he doesn't care about the belt. Either way, the fight is scheduled for 12 rounds.

Who Is on the Fury vs Joshua Undercard?

No undercard fights have been officially announced. These have been reported as possible:

  • Manny Pacquiao in the co-main event (opponent not confirmed)
  • Keyshawn Davis vs Richardson Hitchins at welterweight (reported to be in advanced talks)

A Shakur Stevenson vs Pacquiao fight was reported at first, but Stevenson now looks set for a different card. We'll update this list when fights are confirmed.

Fury vs Joshua: The Story So Far

Tyson Fury came back from his latest retirement this year after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. He beat Arslanbek Makhmudov by a wide unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April. He then stopped Mariusz Wach in Thailand in July, when Wach didn't come out for the eighth round. Fury has never been stopped as a pro.

Anthony Joshua knocked out Jake Paul in the sixth round in Miami last December. He then survived two first-round knockdowns against Kristian Prenga in Jeddah in July before stopping him in round two. That night showed both sides of AJ: he still has the power to end a fight, and he can still be hurt.

Fury is the favorite because of size, movement and durability. Joshua's best chance is the right hand, and he has the better knockout record. We'll publish our full Fury vs Joshua predictions and picks in fight week.

Who's Promoting Fury vs Joshua?

Netflix's announcement said Turki Alalshikh's The Ring and Dana White would promote the event together. Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn and Fury's promoter Frank Warren have both said White's Zuffa Boxing has no promotional role.
