Liam Davies (18-1, 9 KOs) defends his European featherweight title against Nathaniel Collins (17-1-1, 8 KOs) at the bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham, England on Saturday, September 26th.

The stakes are high in Birmingham – not just because somebody will leave as the European champion, but because whoever loses this fight can probably kiss goodbye to their dreams of fighting for a world title in 2027.
Davies enters this bout as the defending champion, having rebounded from losing his IBO super-bantamweight title with back-to-back victories in the featherweight division.
The 30-year-old got back to winning ways with a unanimous decision win over Kurt Walker in May of last year, and followed that up in March of this year as he stopped Francesco Grandelli in six rounds to claim the vacant European crown.
He will now look to make it three-in-a-row and strengthen his calls for a world title shot, but standing in his way on Saturday night is Collins.
The 30-year-old Glaswegian is a former British and Commonwealth champion, but saw his last bid to become European champion end in failure when he went to a split decision draw with Cristobal Llorente in October last year.
The two men met again in April of this year, and this time Collins came out on the losing end, dropping a split decision for the first defeat of his professional career.
So can he bounce back here and win the European title, or will Davies get the job done and potentially move on to bigger and better things?
