Takuma Inoue (22-2, 5 KOs) defends his WBC world bantamweight title against Tenshin Nasukawa (8-1, 3 KOs) at the Tokyo Arena in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, September 27.

Inoue’s first reign as a bantamweight world champion came to an end in October 2024 when he lost the WBA belt to Seiya Tsutsumi, but issued an immediate response last November as he beat his opponent on Sunday, Nasukawa, to claim the WBC belt.
He followed that up with a successful defence against Kazuto Ioka in May of this year, and he will now look to make it three wins in a row when he rematches the man he dethroned for the WBC belt almost a year ago.
Nasukawa, of course, is on a revenge mission after suffering the first defeat of his professional boxing career at the hands of Inoue.
He rebounded from that loss by stopping Juan Francisco Estrada in nine rounds back in April, and the man who once shared the boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr will now bid to regain the bantamweight world title.
But will Nasukawa get his revenge in Tokyo, or will Inoue head the words “and still” at the end of the contest?
