St. Louis Blues vs New York Rangers Prediction and Pick - ExpertPicks

New York have lost four straight and given up 24 goals in their last five games.

The St. Louis Blues visit Madison Square Garden to face a New York Rangers team without Igor Shesterkin, and this Blues vs Rangers prediction leans on goals when the puck drops at 7 p.m. ET.

The Rangers' defence has fallen apart without their No. 1 goalie, and St. Louis have won three of their last five. Over 5.5 has landed in 60% of each team's last 10 games, and 1.75 is a fair price for it.

Jimmy Snuggerud has become St. Louis's most reliable finisher. He has eight goals in 14 games and has scored in three of his last five, so 3.25 is the kind of price I'll take on a night the Rangers are leaking goals.

Adam Fox is still producing for New York. He has a point in 11 of 15 games, including four assists against Toronto on October 22, and at 1.69 he's the safest prop on the card.

Tonight's Shots on Goal Parlay

  • St. Louis have scored first in nine of their 14 games.
  • The Blues' power play is converting at 23.7%.
  • Snuggerud has scored his eight goals on 30 shots.
  • Fox has 16 assists and is playing more than 22 minutes a night.

Head to Head

New York won the 2025-26 season series 2-0, with a 3-2 win at Madison Square Garden and a 2-1 overtime win in St. Louis. Tonight is the first meeting of this season.

The last meeting was December 18, 2025, at Enterprise Center, where New York won 2-1 in overtime. Jonatan Berggren gave St. Louis a late first-period lead, Gabe Perreault tied it on a power play, and J.T. Miller scored the winner at 2.21 of overtime.

Blues Form

St. Louis are 7-6-1 and have won their last two games.

Thursday's 4-1 win over Boston was built on Joel Hofer, who stopped 30 of 31 shots, while Snuggerud's power-play goal tied it in the first. On Saturday in Detroit, the Blues trailed 4-2 early in the third, then Justin Barron tied it and Aleksanteri Kaskimaki scored the winner 18 seconds later in a 5-4 win.

Colton Parayko is day to day with an upper-body injury, according to ESPN's preview, which could leave St. Louis without their top defenceman. Torey Krug is out for the season, and Dillon Dube and Tyler Tucker are also out.

Rangers Form

New York are 7-7-1, but they're 6-2 at Madison Square Garden.

On October 26, Los Angeles scored five times in the first two periods and won 6-3, with James Reimer pulled after allowing three goals on eight shots. Sunday's 4-1 loss to Edmonton started badly, as Connor McDavid scored 50 seconds in and the Oilers led 3-0 midway through the second.

Shesterkin is out for the season with a lower-body injury, per ESPN, and Joonas Korpisalo is also out. That leaves Dylan Garand as the likely starter, though that hasn't been confirmed. Sean Durzi is day to day.

Verdict

The Rangers' goaltending problems and St. Louis's quick starts point to six or more goals, with Snuggerud scoring and Fox setting one up.
