Utah Mammoth vs Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction and Pick - ExpertPicks

Utah kill only 68.8% of their penalties, and Toronto's power play is scoring on 30% of its chances.

The Utah Mammoth bring one of the league's most open games to Scotiabank Arena, and with puck drop at 7 p.m. ET, my Mammoth vs Maple Leafs prediction is built on goals at both ends against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Eight of the 10 games across each team's last five have gone over 6.5, and it's 61% across the season. At 1.79, the over is the main play.

Mikhail Sergachev is driving Utah from the back end. He has a point in 12 of 15 games and in every one of his last five, including goals in both of Utah's last two, so 1.64 still looks short of where it should be.

William Nylander is the shooter I want on the Toronto side. He's had three or more shots on goal in six of his last 10 games and has 10 goals already, which makes 2.20 a good price.

Tonight's Shots on Goal Parlay

  • Utah's power play is converting at 34.6%.
  • Toronto are scoring 3.75 goals a game.
  • Utah have conceded the first goal in nine of their 15 games.
  • Nylander has 46 shots on goal in 16 games.

Head to Head

The 2025-26 season series finished 1-1, with each team winning at home, 5-3 in Toronto and 6-1 in Utah. Utah lead this season's series 1-0.

The last meeting was October 13, 2026, at Delta Center, where Utah won 5-4. Sergachev's shorthanded goal made it 3-0 early in the second, and Toronto's late push with goals from John Tavares and Gavin McKenna fell one short.

Mammoth Form

Utah are 9-6 but have alternated wins and losses over their last five games, scoring 16 and allowing 21.

Thursday's 4-3 overtime win in Pittsburgh came from Logan Cooley, who completed a hat trick with one second left in regulation before Sergachev won it at 3.27 of overtime. On Sunday, Philadelphia led 5-1 early in the third and Utah lost 6-3, with Karel Vejmelka giving up five goals on 20 shots.

Maveric Lamoureux is out with a shoulder injury, according to ESPN's preview, which thins Utah's blue line. John Marino is also out, and Kailer Yamamoto is day to day. Utah haven't confirmed whether Vejmelka or Sebastian Cossa starts.

Maple Leafs Form

Toronto are 8-6-2 and have killed 91.1% of their penalties.

Wednesday's 5-4 loss in Seattle hurt, as Auston Matthews tied it with 1.30 left before Brandon Montour won it with 33 seconds to go. On Saturday in Vancouver, Nylander scored 1.23 into the game and Anthony Stolarz made 26 saves in a 4-2 win.

Tavares is out with a lower-body injury, per ESPN, which takes a key centre out of the lineup. Max Domi and Kirill Marchenko are also out. Toronto haven't confirmed whether Stolarz or Sergei Bobrovsky starts.

Verdict

Two teams that give up chances should push this past six goals, with Sergachev on the scoresheet and Nylander shooting.
