Edmonton Elks at Saskatchewan Roughriders Predictions & Picks
Saskatchewan are tipped to wrap up the regular season with a victory.
Both teams are headed to the playoffs, but while the Elks situation is confirmed, the Roughriders can still dictate which semi-final matchup they will compete in, and they will be keen to avoid a trek to Toronto.
- Saskatchewan Roughriders beat Edmonton by 2 points in August
- Saskatchewan Roughriders are 6-4 in the previous 10 meetings
- The Under has cashed in 3 of the previous 4 meetings
Head To Head

Edmonton Elks Form
Edmonton go into their final regular season game having already secured home advantage in the Western Finals thanks to a 13-4 record.
The Elks made a flying start as they won six of their first seven games, and they have been a model of consistency all season long.
They have lost back-to-back games on only one occasion, and they enter this matchup having won seven of their last eight games.
Edmonton saw a season-best four-game win streak come to an end when they lost 24-19 in Toronto in mid-September.
The Elks rebounded quickly though, beating Hamilton 37-35 in overtime at home and 27-12 on the road, before downing Winnipeg at home last time out, 35-27.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Form
Saskatchewan know they are playoff-bound after snapping a five-game losing streak, but their 9-8 record means they do not know who they will face.
Depending on the outcome of Saturday’s matchup, they will either visit Toronto or the BC Lions in the first round of the playoffs.
They come into this home game having finally brought an end to their recent losing sequence.
Saskatchewan had following up a 19-6 defeat to Winnipeg before their final bye week with losses at BC, 31-24, to Calgary, 37-31, and at Montreal, 44-24.
The Roughriders stopped the rot in Week 20 though, as they downed Montreal at home, 16-12.
Verdict
Both teams are playoff bound, but Saskatchewan need this game just that little bit more as they try to secure a shorter road trip for their playoff opener.
Therefore we are siding with the Roughriders – the team that still has something to play for.
