The main event features two ranked flyweight fighters looking to move into title contention – Alex Perez and Tatsuro Taira.
Perez challenged for the UFC flyweight title in November 2020 and fell to a first-round submission defeat at the hands of Deiveson Figueiredo.
He then suffered further losses against Alexandre Pantoja and Muhammad Mokaev, before finally getting back on track in April when he knocked out Matheus Nicolau in the second round.
Perez will now aim to make it back-to-back wins, but to do it he will have to become the first man to ever beat Taira,
The Japanese fighter has won all five of his fights since signing with the UFC, taking his career record to 15-0, and a victory here could catapult him into the top five in the flyweight division.
So will Taira continue his ascent in the flyweight division, or can Perez halt his rise and strengthen his own claims for a title shot?
