The Chiefs opened the season with wins against Arizona and Los Angeles Chargers, but stumbled twice over the next four weeks.
They lost 20-17 at Indianapolis and, after bouncing back against Tampa Bay and Las Vegas, they were beaten 24-20 at home by Buffalo.
Kansas City’s response to that loss to the Bills has been strong though – they have won five consecutive games.
The Chiefs started the run before the bye week with a 44-23 road blowout of San Francisco.
They then picked up from where they left off with home wins against Tennessee (20-17 OT) and Jacksonville (27-17).
Kansas City followed up those wins with a 30-27 win at the Chargers, before returning home to beat the Los Angeles Rams 26-10 last weekend.
Cincinnati Bengals Form
Cincinnati are heating up, having won three consecutive games to improve to 7-4 for the season.
The Bengals appeared to be suffering a post-Super Bowl hangover as they opened with losses to Pittsburgh and Dallas.
They steadied the ship with a 27-12 win at the New York Jets and 27-15 victory at home to Miami, but failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 19-17 at Baltimore.
Cincy rebounded quickly to win 30-26 in New Orleans, and then backed that up with a 35-17 home success against Atlanta.
Once again they failed to make it three-in-a-row though, as they suffered a disappointing 32-13 defeat in Cleveland.
The Bengals quickly rebounded with a 42-21 win at home to Carolina before the bye, and since returning to action they have followed up that win.
Cincinnati ran out 37-30 winners at Pittsburgh, before heading to Tennessee and recording a 20-16 victory.
