LIV Golf Invitational Series heads to the United Kingdom for the inaugural tournament at the JCB Golf & Country Club, but who emerge as the winner?

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Joaquin Niemann
Joaquin Niemann got off to a flyer at the start of his season on the DP World Tour and in the LIV Golf League season, with results of 5th at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, victory at the ISPS Handa Australian Open, T4 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T30 in Las Vegas, victory in Mayakoba, 3rd at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour) and victory in Jeddah.
Niemann has been ultra-consistent with his performances since those victories, placing T4 in Hong Kong, T9 in Miami, T22 at the Masters, T3 in Adelaide, T7 in Singapore, T39 at the PGA Championship, T32 in Houston, T3 in Nashville, T6 in Andalucia and T58 at the recent Open Championship.
Niemann has not put a foot wrong this season and has claims for the title in the United Kingdom.
Louis Oosthuizen
Louis Oosthuizen was in excellent form on the DP World Tour and LIV Golf Tour during the opening four months of the season, winning the Alfred Dunhill Championship and the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open before placing T8 in Mayakoba, 50th in Las Vegas, 2nd at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour) and T2 in Jeddah.
Oosthuizen has maintained his level of play after those results, finishing T19 in Hong Kong, T7 in Miami, 2nd in Adelaide, T22 in Singapore, W/D in Houston, 13th in Nashville, T4 in Andalucia, and MC at the recent Open Championship.
Oosthuizen will have the belief to win his maiden LIV Golf Tour trophy this weekend after producing top results this season.
Dean Burmester
Dean Burmester had the perfect beginning to his season on the DP World Tour, winning the Joburg Open and Investec South African Open Championship before placing T44 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and T3 in Mayakoba.
Burmester's form dipped after those performances, finishing T39 in Las Vegas and T31 at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour) before bouncing back to his best, placing T15 in Jeddah, T8 in Hong Kong, victory in Miami, T3 in Adelaide, T14 in Singapore, and T12 at the PGA Championship.
The South African golfer has continued to play consistently well, with results of T18 in Houston, 69th at the U.S. Open, T25 in Nashville, T17 in Andalucia, and T19 at the Open Championship last weekend.
Burmester has been at his best throughout 2024 and can secure his second LIV Golf League title come Sunday.
Carlos Ortiz
Carlos Ortiz did not have the best start to his season on the LIV Golf Tour, finishing T43 in Mayakoba and T39 in Las Vegas before returning to form with victory at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour).
Ortiz has continued to play well this year, placing T15 in Jeddah, T4 in Hong Kong, T10 at the International Series in Macau (Asian Tour), T14 in Miami, T22 in Adelaide, T19 in Singapore, victory in Houston, T9 in Nashville, and T14 in Andalucia.
Ortiz has enjoyed excellent success this season and should enter calculations at the JCB Golf & Country Club this weekend.
Format
An invitational field of 54 golfers will feature at the tournament, with a total purse of $25 million up for grabs. $4 million will go to the winner, while the player coming in last will pocket $50,000.
The players will contest 54 holes instead of 72 for all the LIV Golf Invitational Series events.
A shotgun start will occur, where the players will tee off simultaneously from different holes.
A 13-four-man team (four players each and two wild-card players) format will run concurrent, with the top three teams earning prize money.
