They kicked off their Big Ten schedule with a 31-7 win against Rutgers, and then backed that up with a 45-7 win in Nebraska and a 52-10 victory at Minnesota.
Michigan then sandwiched a 49-0 shutout win at Michigan State with home wins against Indiana, 52-7, and Purdue, 24-15.
The Wolverines were then rocked just 24 hours before the game at #9 Penn State when it was announced that Harbaugh was again suspended, but they overcame his absence to win 24-15.

Maryland come into this game on the back of a win that snapped a four-game skid and improved their record to 6-4.
The Terrapins opened the season with three straight wins against non-conference opposition, and kept their streak going when they started Big Ten play.
They won 31-9 at Michigan State in their opening conference matchup, and then backed that up with a 44-17 victory over Indiana at home.
Maryland’s perfect start was ended by a 37-17 defeat at #4 Ohio State, and that sparked a four-game skid that saw them lose 27-24 to Illinois, 33-27 at Northwestern and 51-15 to #9 Penn State.
The Terrapins finally stopped the rot last weekend though, beating Nebraska 13-10 on the road.
