Michigan at Penn State Preview & Picks

Michigan are tipped to cover as a road betting favourite.

The Wolverines will not have it easy against a tough defense, but they have been piling up wins and covers on the road this season.

  • Michigan are 3-0-0 ATS on the road this season
  • Michigan are allowing just 6.7 points per game (#1 in nation)
  • These 2 teams allow a combined 19.2 points per game
  • The Under hit in Penn State’s 2 previous meetings with ranked teams

Head To Head

  • Michigan lead the all-time series 16-10
  • Michigan won 41-17 when the two teams last met in October 2022

Michigan Form

Michigan take a perfect 9-0 record on the road as they stay on course for the Big Ten Championship Game and the College Football Playoffs.

The Wolverines made straightforward work of their first three opponents despite the absence of head coach Jim Harbaugh, beating East Carolina 30-3, UNLV 35-7 and Bowling Green 31-6.

They beat Rutgers 31-7 in Harbaugh’s return and then went out on the road to beat Nebraska 45-7 and Minnesota 52-10.

Michigan’s perfect run continued as they blew out Indiana at home, 52-7, and that was followed by a 49-0 shutout of Michigan State on the road.

The Wolverines then took their streak to nine games last weekend, easing to a 41-13 victory over Purdue.

Penn State Form

Penn State have rebounded from the loss to Ohio State, winning back-to-back games to improve to 8-1.

The Nittany Lions kicked off the season with a 38-13 win against West Virginia, and that was followed by a 63-7 blowout of Delaware.

They then began their Big Ten schedule by beating Illinois 30-13, following that up with a 31-0 shutout of #24 Iowa and a 41-13 victory at Northwestern.

Penn State beat Massachusetts 63-0 in in a non-conference action after that, before returning to Big Ten duty for a 20-12 loss to #3 Ohio State.

The Nittany Lions have bounced back quickly though, backing up a 33-24 win over Indiana with a 51-15 victory at Maryland.
