Two weeks later they wasted a massive comeback as they lost 41-34 to Alabama, but they did rebound quickly to win their next four games.
Georgia beat Auburn 31-13 and Mississippi State 41-31, before heading to Texas to dominate the Longhorns in an impressive 30-15 win.
The Bulldogs then knocked off Florida, 34-20, only to suffer a surprise 28-10 defeat to Ole Miss a week later.
