Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs Preview & Picks

Buffalo are tipped to finally get the better of Kansas City in a postseason matchup.

Predicting a KC playoff loss is risky, but Josh Allen is playing the best football of his career.

The defense has also shown that it can slow down Mahomes & Co, so this could be the year they finally end their Super Bowl drought.

  • Buffalo Bills are 4-2 in the last 6 meetings with Kansas City
  • Buffalo Bills won by 9 points when the two teams met in November
  • Kansas City Chiefs are 3-9-0 ATS in their previous 12 games
  • The Over has cashed in 5 of the previous 7 meetings

Head To Head

  • Buffalo Bills lead the all-time series 30-25-1
  • Buffalo Bills won 30-21 when the two teams last met on November 17

Buffalo Bills Form

Buffalo go into the AFC Championship Game on a good run of form, having won 12 of their previous 14 games.

The Bills raced out of the blocks with three straight wins, only to cool off briefly when they lost 35-10 in Baltimore and 23-20 at Houston.

They rebounded strongly though, reeling off seven consecutive victories including a 30-21 success when they hosted Kansas City back on November 17.

Buffalo’s streak was ended by a 44-42 shutout loss at the Los Angeles Rams, but they rebounded to beat Detroit 48-42, New England 24-21, and the New York Jets, 40-14.

A weakened Bills team dropped the regular season finale to New England, 23-16, but the stars returned for the Wildcard round and they cruised past Denver, 31-7.

They then secured a trip to the AFC Championship Game by holding on to down Baltimore, 27-25.

Kansas City Chiefs Form

Kansas City enter their seventh consecutive AFC Championship Game having won 16 of their 18 games this season.

The Chiefs kicked off the season with a 27-20 victory over Baltimore, and went on to win their first nine games.

That run was finally ended on November 17 when they were beaten by their conference championship opponents, Buffalo, 30-21, but they responded well to that setback.

Kansas City reeled off six consecutive victories to secure another trip to the postseason, and in doing so they also secured home field advantage for the playoffs.

That meant the Chiefs could rest their starters for the 38-0 loss to Denver, but Patrick Mahomes & Co. all returned for the Divisional showdown with Houston, and that led to a return to winning ways.

They took down the Texans, 23-14, to stay in the hunt for an historic three-peat.
