Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles Preview & Picks

Philadelphia are tipped to cover as they win the NFC Championship Game.

Saquon Barkley dominated the Commanders during the regular season and can do it again in this playoff meeting.

And on the opposite side of the football, this talented Eagles defense can make key stops and force a crucial turnover or two.

  • Philadelphia Eagles are 14-1 in their previous 15 games
  • Philadelphia Eagles are 5-2-0 ATS in their last 7 home games
  • Philadelphia beat Washington by 8 points in the regular season home game
  • The Over has cashed in 4 of the previous 5 meetings

Head To Head

  • Washington Commanders lead the all-time series 90-86-6
  • Washington Commanders won 36-33 when the two teams last met on December 22

Washington Commanders Form

Washington head to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ in red-hot form thanks to seven straight victories.

The Commanders made a losing start to the season, but rallied to put themselves firmly in the playoff mix with seven wins in their next eight games.

They blew cold in November though, as a three-game losing skid threatened to derail their quest to reach the postseason.

Washington stopped the rot in December though, sparking this good run of form with a 42-19 blowout of Tennessee.

The Commanders then wrapped up the regular season by beating New Orleans 20-19, Philadelphia 36-33, Atlanta 30-24 in overtime and Dallas 23-19 in regulation.

Their playoff campaign began with a 23-20 upset of Tampa Bay in the Wildcard round, and they topped that in the Divisional round with a sensational 45-31 upset of Detroit on the road.

Philadelphia Eagles Form

Philadelphia go into the NFC Championship Game having won 14 of their last 15 games and each of the last four.

The Eagles spluttered early in the season as they split their first four games, but they responded by going on a tear that meant playoff football was never in doubt.

They reeled off 10 consecutive wins to take control of the NFC East, before seeing that run finally end with a 36-33 defeat at Washington.

Philadelphia rebounded emphatically though, blowing out Dallas 41-7, and they then wrapped up the regular season with a 20-13 victory over the New York Giants.

The Eagles missed out on a playoff bye despite their strong 14-3 record, but there were no mistakes on Wildcard weekend as they downed Green Bay, 22-10.

They then fended off a late fightback attempt from the Los Angeles Rams to win 28-22 in the Divisional playoff.
