The Lions opened up the season with a home win, but they were taken to overtime before finally seeing off the Los Angeles Rams, 26-20.
They failed to build on that a week later as they suffered a 20-16 home defeat to Tampa Bay, but they have not lost since.
Detroit bounced back at the first attempt as they went out on the road to down Arizona, 20-13.
The Lions then returned home to beat Seattle 42-29 to enter their early bye week boasting a 3-1 record.
Dallas Cowboys Form
Dallas return home looking to build on a couple of road wins that have improved their record to 3-2.
The Cowboys got off to a winning start as they beat Cleveland 33-17 on the road, but they failed to build on that when they returned home.
They were blown out by New Orleans, 44-19, before seeing a fightback attempt fall short as they were beaten 28-25 by Baltimore.
Dallas rebounded from those rough losses on the road though, starting with an important 20-15 win at division rivals, the New York Giants.
The Cowboys then followed up that victory a week later as they travelled to Pittsburgh to beat the Steelers 20-17.
