Katie Taylor vs Flora Pili Predictions & Picks

Katie Taylor is tipped to end her career as undisputed world super-lightweight champion.

Taylor is simply the more experienced and more skilled fighter, and Flora Pili’s lack of punching power means she does not have to fear what is coming back at her.

‘The Bray Bomber’ can outclass Pili on her way to one final decision victory in Dublin.

  • Katie Taylor has won 19 of her 20 world title fights
  • 19 of Katie Taylor’s 25 victories have come via decision
  • Katie Taylor has gone the distance in 20 of her 26 outings
  • Katie Taylor has not stopped an opponent since March 2019

Katie Taylor Form

Katie Taylor is a former undisputed lightweight world champion and the current undisputed super-lightweight champion with a professional record of 25-1 (6 KOs).

Taylor turned professional in November 2016 after a glittering amateur career that saw her claim numerous honours.

She became a world champion in only her seventh outing as she out-pointed Anahi Ester Sanchez over 10 rounds to claim the vacant WBC lightweight crown, and the following year she added the IBF belt with a unanimous decision win over Victoria Bustos.

The 40-year-old Irish ace made several successful defences of those belts before stepping up in her quest to become undisputed queen.

Taylor beat Rose Volante by ninth-round knockout to add the WBO championship in March 2019, and three months later she collected the WBC and Ring Magazine titles with a points victory against Delfine Persoon.

She briefly stepped up to light-welterweight to beat Christian Linardatou for the WBO belt in her final outing of that year, before returning to lightweight to make several successful defences of her undisputed crown over the next couple of years.

That set up a massive fight with Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden – the headline bout on an historic card in April 2022 – and she had her hand raised courtesy of a split decision.

Her first attempt to become undisputed super-lightweight champion came the following year, but she tasted defeat for the first time as she dropped a majority decision to Chantelle Cameron.

Taylor won the rematch six months later to claim all of the gold at super-lightweight, and since then she has successfully defended her undisputed crown with back-to-back wins over long-time rival Serrano.

Flora Pili Form

Flora Pili is an unbeaten French fighter that brings a perfect 12-0 record into this contest, with two wins coming via stoppage.

This fight represents the biggest test of Fili’s career so far, and comes on the back of a successful 2025 that saw her fight – and win – twice.

She began last year with a 70-second knockout of Ana Maria Lozano – her first stoppage victory since June 2022.

The 29-year-old Frenchwoman then followed that up last December as she improved to 12-0 with a majority decision win over Jelena Janicijevic.

Verdict

Our Verdict
This feels like a carefully selected fight designed to give Katie Taylor one more glorious night on home soil.

She has more top-level experience and is the more skilled fighter, while Flora Pili’s record suggests she does not even have a puncher’s chance in this one.
