The LIV Golf League heads to Africa for the first time for its inaugural event in South Africa, but who will make history in Steyn City and leave as the winner?

The Club at Steyn City hosted the Steyn City Championship on the DP World Tour in 2022.

Current top ten in the individual points standings after four rounds:

1. Jon Rahm 466.00 pts
2. Bryson DeChambeau 276.90 pts
3. Elvis Smylie 238.56 pts
4. Anthony Kim 230.51 pts
5. Thomas Detry 166.10 pts
6. Thomas Pieters 158.26 pts
7. Richard Lee 147.05 pts
8. Peter Uihlein 140.98 pts
9. Lucas Herbert 86.91 pts
10. Lee Westwood 86.75 pts

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Joaquin Niemann

Joaquin Niemann had a decent beginning to his season in the LIV Golf League, finishing T22 in Riyadh, T12 in Adelaide, and T41 in Hong Kong before regaining his touch in Singapore last weekend, placing 4th overall.

Before that, Niemann struggled with his game on the DP World Tour, missing the cut at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, the Crown Australian Open, and the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Niemann will have every chance of victory in South Africa this weekend if he can replicate his recent performance.

Dean Burmester

Dean Burmester has been performing well on the DP World Tour and LIV Golf League lately, placing T6 in Adelaide, T20 at the Investec South African Open Championship, 7th in Hong Kong, and 10th in Singapore last weekend.

Before those results, Burmester finished T32 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and T51 in Riyadh at the LIV Golf Tour season opener.

The South African placed runner-up at the 2022 Steyn City Championship on the DP World Tour.

Burmester has the form to go all the way and win the title at the Club at Steyn City this weekend.

Sebastian Munoz

Sebastian Munoz has been producing consistent results on the LIV Golf Tour this season, placing 8th in Riyadh, T8 in Adelaide, T16 in Hong Kong, and T17 in Singapore last weekend.

Before those performances, Munoz contested two events on the DP World Tour, finishing T14 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship and T39 at the Crown Australian Open.

Munoz has been in solid form and can emerge victorious in South Africa this weekend.

Talor Gooch

Talor Gooch has been in decent nick during the first four events in the LIV Golf League this season, placing 12th in Riyadh, T17 in Adelaide, T18 in Hong Kong, and T10 in Singapore last weekend.

Before that, Gooch finished T47 at the Link Hong Kong Open, T24 at the Moutai Singapore Open, and missed the cut at the PIF Saudi International towards the end of last year on the Asian Tour.

Gooch has been there and thereabouts lately and could upstage the others at the Club at Steyn City this weekend.
