DC Defenders Form

DC go into the playoff semi-finals in poor form, having lost four consecutive games to finish the regular season 5-5.

The Defenders entered the new season as defending UFL champions, but made a losing start as they fell to a 16-10 defeat in St Louis.

The rebounded the following week with a 44-26 victory at newcomers Columbus, and backed it up at home as they downed Houston 45-7 and St Louis 28-22.

DC then made it four-in-a-row row with a 45-28 win at Birmingham and a 24-6 victory over Dallas, only to see their form collapse after that success on May 2.

The Defenders dropped back-to-back meetings with Louisville – 30-13 at home and 33-30 on the road, and then lost two meetings with their playoff opponents, Orlando – 27-19 on the road and 29-23 at home.

Orlando Storm Form

Orlando enter the playoffs as they hottest team in the UFL, having compiled a league-best 8-2 record in the regular season.

The Storm kicked off the campaign by beating fellow league newcomers Columbus, 23-16, and then downed the other new team, Louisville, 19-9 at home and 29-27 in overtime on the road.

Their run reached four games as they shut out Birmingham in a 16-0 success on the road, before finally being ended by a 25-17 loss to St Louis.

That was followed by a 20-17 defeat to Birmingham, but Orlando got back on track the following weekend, winning 24-23 in Houston, and they have not looked back since.

The Storm downed Dallas 31-24 on the road, before winning back-to-back meetings with playoff opponents DC, winning 27-19 at home and 29-23 on the road.
