St Louis Battlehawks at Houston Gamblers Predictions & Picks

Houston are tipped to cover as a home betting underdog against the Battlehawks.

The Gamblers pulled on an upset in St Louis a week ago, and they have quietly been one of the league’s most reliable spread bets for several weeks now.

  • Houston Gamblers are 5-2-0 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Houston Gamblers beat St Louis by 7 points on the road last week
  • 2 of St Louis Battlehawks 3 defeats this season came on the road
  • 3 of Houston Gamblers’ last 4 games produced under 42.5 total points

Head To Head

  • St Louis Battlehawks lead the all-time series 2-1
  • Houston Gamblers won 23-16 when the two teams last met on May 16

St Louis Battlehawks Form

St Louis head to Houston looking to avenge last week’s loss to the Gamblers, which halted a three-game win streak and dropped them to 5-3.

The Battlehawks opened the season with a 16-10 win at home to defending champions DC, but struggled for consistency over the next few weeks.

They sandwiched a 34-30 victory at home to Birmingham with road defeats at Dallas, 31-15, and DC, 28-22.

St Louis found some form in late April though, following up a 25-17 victory in Orlando with a 16-3 success at Louisville and a 31-20 win at home to Columbus.

The Battlehawks failed to make it four-in-a-row though, as they suffered a surprise 23-16 defeat against Houston last weekend.

Houston Gamblers Form

Houston kept their slim playoff hopes alive last weekend as they snapped a two-game losing sequence to improve to 3-5.

The Gamblers kicked of the campaign with a 36-17 defeat in Dallas, and although they rebounded to beat Birmingham 22-20 in their home opener, they have largely struggled ever since.

A 45-7 blowout defeat in DC was followed by a 24-22 overtime loss at home to Louisville.

Houston then failed to follow up a 17-13 victory against Columbus as they lost 24-17 at the Aviators and 24-23 at home to Orlando.

The Gamblers did avoid a third consecutive defeat though, upsetting the Battlehawks in St Louis last time out, 23-16.
